Individual talk therapy for adults. In person in Nambour, or online, whichever works for you.
This is the core of what I do, individual talk therapy for adults dealing with all kinds of things. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, addiction, identity questions, life transitions, men's mental health.
My approach is Person-Centred, which means your needs and values sit at the centre of the work. I'm not going to hand you a programme and expect you to fit it. The process is shaped around you.
I draw on a range of techniques depending on what's useful, Gestalt, IFS, Narrative Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and dream and symbol work. Sessions run for 50 minutes.
A significant part of my practice is working with autistic and ADHD adults, and the experience of navigating a world that wasn't built for the way your brain works.
If you've recently received a late diagnosis and are trying to make sense of your whole life through that lens, that's something I can actually help with. There's a lot to unpack in that moment, and it deserves more than a pamphlet.
I've also supported people working through burnout, Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and the particular exhaustion that comes from masking for too long.
My approach is neuroaffirming and strength-based. I'm not trying to help you fit better into a neurotypical world, I'm interested in helping you live more comfortably as yourself.
The impact of being close to someone neurodivergent is real, and it often doesn't get the attention it deserves. Maybe you're processing a recent diagnosis in your family. Maybe you've been in a long-term relationship and something's starting to make sense for the first time. Maybe you're a parent trying to understand how to support a child who experiences the world very differently.
That's not a small thing. These relationships take ongoing work, communicating differently, adjusting expectations, managing your own wellbeing in the middle of it all.
I offer individual therapy for people navigating these dynamics, not couples or family therapy, but a space that's specifically yours, to work through what this means for you.
Ecopsychotherapy is therapy that takes place outdoors, in nature, rather than in a consulting room. It draws on the idea that our connection to the natural world is central to our psychological wellbeing, and that the environment we're in shapes the quality of the work we can do together.
Practically, this means walking sessions through bushland, parks, or along the coast here on the Sunshine Coast. Movement, open air, and natural surroundings can lower defensiveness and open up conversations that might feel harder face to face across a desk.
I've trained in ecopsychotherapy with Dr Geoff Berry, and I integrate this approach for clients who are drawn to it, particularly those working through anxiety, burnout, grief, or a need to reconnect with themselves.
Send me a message and we can have a brief chat. No commitment needed, just a conversation.
